We enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Garden Inn Chinatown. We chose it because it was one of the few hotels where my teenage son and I could have separate beds in the same room for under $300 a night. The location couldn’t be more convenient, it’s close to several subway stops and the hotel itself is in a sort of overlap zone between (or at least within easy walking distance to) Chinatown/Little Italy/NoHo/SoHo. Uber was also a viable option for a lot of trips due to the convenient location — prices weren’t too crazy to get to Lower Manhattan or Midtown. The staff was kind and helpful and the noodle shop on the first level has AMAZING food and drinks at really low prices by Manhattan standards. Our room was meticulously clean and the beds were very comfortable. The glass bathroom enclosure wasn’t my favorite, though — not enough privacy, even with the frosted finish — and the cabinet enclosing the (VERY SMALL) minifridge was broken, which looked shoddy even though it didn’t prevent us using the fridge.

Great location if you want to explore China town, and it's close to the subway station so you can easily head any direction to explore NYC. The room was nice but the towels had a bit of a funky smell, not terrible but not pleasant either. Also, the rooftop bar was something I was really looking forward to... but both nights they were closed for renovations or something.
