A Mixed Bag

Sean Sy, the Front Desk Manager, was very gracious, placing us in a high corner room with two floor to ceiling walls, one facing north, the other west. The views and sense of airiness were superb--one felt like a bird flying high over the Bowery. With two window walls, it felt like the Mr. Big’s corner office. Or, rather, Mr. Big’s small corner office as the room was small, more like a Paris hotel-sized room than a NYC hotel-sized one. Our stay was a mixed bag. As several comments noted, the absence of a second shower door made water on the floor unavoidable. The lack of shelf space and narrow edges of the bathroom sink counter made it hard to find space for toiletries. The bathroom was a textbook example of form over function and a source of frustration. The desk was small, kid's size, really; the desk chair (the room’s only chair) was sized to barely fit into the desk’s kneehole, so the desk’s inside edges were beaten up. Worse, when in place, the desk chair completely blocked the narrow passage that was the direct route from the bed to the bathroom. The bed had a nightstand only on one side though there seemed adequate space for another. Two more caveats: Daily room cleaning is available, but only if you request it. Though the sign on the room door indicates a noon checkout, I was told that it was..

Wyndham is a must stay!

We originally stayed at Wyndham Garden Chinatown specifically because it was near an event we were attending- Now we plan to go back because our stay was just that awesome! Everyone we met who worked in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. The front desk workers were all so professional and kind, they even remember the names of guests and greet you as you walk in and out! I had asked if there was a place nearby where I could get a charger and even though it was a short walk away Adam wrote me directions by hand on how to get there. He was a treasure! The adjoining beer garden serves phenomenal food and also boasts a wonderful and kind staff. It also plays some great music if you're in the mood to get your night started, or gives you the option of going to a quiet sit down area to relax and enjoy your meal that way. In addition the manager, Sean, and I got to speak and he was extremely kind and very professional! It is a highly rated spot for a reason, everyone there does their job proudly and kindly. This is what staying at a hotel should be like- personal, clean, and fun! Thanks everyone! See you soon

Excellent Hotel

From check-in to check-out the service was excellent. Definitely going back. The Staff, especially Adam was wonderful. Found parking near by. The hotel is walking distance to little Italy and SOHO. Overall a great experience.

Clean and comfortable

During a three night stay, I found the Wyndham to be clean and comfortable. The room was very small by hotel standards with only a bed, desk and desk chair. The bed, pillows and sheets were all very high quality. The lighting in the room and bathroom was quite dim. The location was excellent for visiting NYC Chinatown, but there is not any nightlife nearby.
